Conservation Commission members and the general public are invited to join the Cheshire County Conservation District and the NH Association of Conservation Commissions for an exciting evening at Stonewall Farm!
Join Josh Megyesy from New Hampshire Fish & Game’s Nongame and Endangered Wildlife Program for a discussion on at-risk turtle conservation and the role research and monitoring has played in guiding those efforts. His talk will cover basic ecology, habitat preference, threats, and how research is conducted. Josh will discuss the conservation actions necessary for the continued existence of rare turtles, the tools available to help, the importance of citizen science, and the federal, state, municipal, NGO, and private partnerships needed to make it all happen.
