Pollinators are vital to ecosystems and the agricultural economy, but unfortunately they are in decline as a result of habitat loss.
The CCCD's Cheshire County Pollinator Initiative serves to address this ongoing problem in a number of ways:
Through the establishment of 20 pollinator habitats installations across the county
Through vigorous public education and outreach campaigns to share innovative methodology of habitat creation and the results of pollinator abundance and diversity monitoring
Through the development of a technical guide on establishment techniques for agricultural producers and technical service providers
