The Cheshire County Conservation District is delighted to announce our new Equipment Rental Process, made possible through new equipment reservation software, Reservety! This new process streamlines the rental process, making it easier for both the client and the district staff. CCCD’s Operations Coordinator, Ellinore Todd-Long, spent several months researching and implementing this software for a soft rollout during the 2026 rental season with the hope that farmers would start to see benefits in the new process. Ellinore shares, “The idea was to have them do more of their own scheduling and give them a place to upload things themselves/sign the contract so that there wasn't as much back and forth”. It was important to find software that did not overcomplicate the process but rather made it easier and more beneficial for all users! Ellinore elaborates, “The new equipment reservation software will be equally beneficial for us and for our farmers. For our internal operations, it will keep all of our data in one place, generate reports, and automatically organize the contracts. For our farmers, they will be able to see when equipment is available and submit rentals on their own time without having to wait for a confirmation from us”.
As we are still in the early stages of roll-out, we are encouraging anyone looking to rent equipment to give us feedback as they use the new software. If you have been planning to schedule a rental, you can do so at this link or on our website on the same page where the old equipment page was hosted. As our goal is to make this as beneficial as possible, we want to make sure the software is streamlined. Any glitches or moments of confusion you encounter, we invite you to let us know at info@cheshireconservation.org so we can continue to build the process for more efficiency and benefits for the 2027 rental season. Ellinore states, “We want this software to make the equipment rental program easier for our farmers, and we are looking forward to the feedback that we get to make the whole process easier!”
While users will see some changes in the way the rental process works, the steps are less complicated and will require less back and forth. Ellinore details the process, “They go on the website, click the 'rent here' button, which brings them to the rental page. They click which piece of equipment they want and indicate how many acres/tons/whatever, and they have the dates that are available for it too, and then they click reserve, which will bring them to the contract. They can upload insurance as they are reserving or email it later, and then they get a confirmation email after they have reserved whatever it is”.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to make the Equipment Rental Program a success! We are thrilled to continue making it as accessible as possible to those who benefit from it the most. If you are interested in learning more, please see the walkthrough below or visit our Rental Program Page!
